Kamaz to increase trucks output 10% to 43,000 in 2018
MOSCOW, Dec 14 (PRIME) -- Russian truck maker Kamaz intends to produce 43,000 trucks in 2018, it said in its corporate newspaper citing CEO Yury Gerasimov on Thursday.
In 2017, the company planned to produce 36,500 trucks, but it will make 39,000 vehicles, including about 6,000 for export. This means that in 2018 production will rise 10% on the year.
The company also said it plans to expand production of new models in the next years.
Kamaz said it develops autonomous driving technologies and will be ready to test them on its production facilities already in 2018.
“Legislative restrictions for autonomous driving are the issue now,” the newspaper read.
